- Hello,
- I am temporarily here at my Internet address in Sweden and I want to
- set up my old US Robotics Sportster 14,4 fax modem for my kids to use for
- e-mail. Unfortunately, when I moved to Latvia where I now live most of the
- time, the AC Adapter disappeared. I now have bought an adjustable
- transformer that can be set to 9 volts and it generates 500 milliamperes.
- Will the Sportster take this (I understand it operates at 9 volts or
- thereabout)? Also, what is the polarity of the socket? Is the little rod
- where the power supply attaches plus or minus. This can also be set on the
- transformer, or at least on one of the many sockets it comes with.
-
- Thanks for a speedy answer to
